Though their reasonings may vastly differ, Fenix and Decklyn are left scrambling to save Loralie, who has now been captured in the queen’s clutches. When met with bureaucracy and inaction by the rebel group, they decide to join forces and turn to the only other option; the Fate of Time. Believing the Fate will turn back the clock, stopping Morana from becoming trapped in a human body in the first place, they search for answers with nothing but determination and a bespelled globe.

Held in the unyielding clutches of queen Elisha, Loralie endures neglect and torture. But when the Grimlock chains on her wrists block her from accessing the power within, her body starts to degenerate at an accelerated speed. Unwilling to end her torture, a carefully monitored opportunity is provided for her to feed. However, instead of devouring the life force offered, her power becomes warped upon release, raging far outside the confines of her control.
